Murphy is my sensitive Lhasa Apso boy who just loves it when you talk directly to him. In fact, when you do, he cries! I’m not kidding – Murphy really cares. And that’s incredible considering what I know of his background. I got Murphy three years ago from a shop owner who constantly kept him tied up outside his business, then decided he could no longer keep him. Before that, Murphy had been in an animal shelter. In spite of his past, though, he’s the nicest dog I’ve ever owned. Because I have had dogs all my life, I recognized the signs of arthritis as Murphy began to slow down. Our veterinarian confirmed this and diagnosed severe arthritis in both of his front legs. When he would try to go down steps, his front legs would give out and he’d fall on his chin. Rimadyl has given me my dog back. He’s happy, enjoys his walks and playing with his Shih Tsu brother Regis. We’re looking forward to many years of heart-to-heart talks with Murphy. He’s only 13, and my last dog lived to be 19!
